- Statistics on people receiving care in specialised...
This year, 132 specialised drug treatment centres (CSAPA) participated in the RECAP survey (common data collection on addictions and treatments), out of a total of around 500 CSAPAs, providing data on more than 210 000 patients.
In 2020, over half of the patients consulting a CSAPA did so for alcohol and/or tobacco use (around 86 000). Additionally, 17% sought help for cannabis use (nearly 27 000), and 26% for other illicit substances (41 000 patients). Among these, 14% used heroin and 11% used cocaine.
The total number of patients admitted to CSAPA in 2021 (210 665) appears to be higher than in 2020 (203 078). This increase can be partly attributed to the drop in the number of patients admitted to CSAPAs in 2020, caused by the health crisis during which many services closed temporarily closed and/or restricted the number of patients they could accommodate.
