The French Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (OFDT) is the public body in France responsible for collecting, analysing, and summarising data on drugs, both licit (alcohol and tobacco) and illicit, as well as data on gambling.
Since 1996, the OFDT has had a general mission under its founding agreement, which is to enlighten its members and, consequently, the public authorities, as well as professionals in the field and the general public, on the phenomenon of licit and illicit drugs and addiction trends.
The OFDT's missions are carried out by a multi-disciplinary team, made up of specialists and/or researchers (epidemiologists, statisticians, doctors, toxicologists, sociologists, political scientists, economists, etc.) and administrative and technical staff (accountant, computer graphics specialist, webmaster, etc.). This team has been headed by Guillaume Airagnes since 1 September 2023.
